B2R Farms Fellows Promote Conservation Agriculture on RwandaTV
B2R Farms Fellow, Fabiola Niragire, was recently featured on RwandaTV, sharing her work advancing conservation agriculture (CA) with farmers in Rwamagana District’s Kigabiro Sector. Working with the COKOMAKI cooperative in the Gahonogo marshland, Fabiola has trained members in Foundations for Farming’s CA principles that protect soil health, reduce erosion, and lower input costs compared to traditional methods.
She explained that even during this season’s drought, CA fields remained productive while many conventionally plowed fields struggled. As soil quality improves year after year, farmers are seeing more stable harvests and growing confidence in CA methodologies. Watch full RwandaTV interview here.
